Ragging is a criminal offense, and Lincoln College of Law is absolutely committed to maintaining a 100% ragging-free campus. Our Anti-Ragging Cell works proactively to ensure the safety and psychological well-being of freshers.
Comprising senior faculty members, administration staff, and student representatives, the cell conducts regular surprise visits to hostels and common areas. We enforce strict disciplinary actions, including expulsion, against anyone found guilty of ragging.

How to Report an Incident
1. Call Helpline

2. Email / Online Form
Write to antiragging@lincolncolleges.in or submit a complaint on UGC’s anti‑ragging portal.
3. Drop a Written Complaint
Place sealed complaint in the “Anti‑Ragging Box” installed at the main gate and administrative block.
4. Anonymous Reporting
You may report anonymously if you fear retaliation; we will still investigate.
Legal Provisions Against Ragging
📜 As per UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging, 2009 (as amended):
- Ragging is a criminal offence punishable with imprisonment up to 2 years and fine under IPC Section 339 (wrongful restraint).
- Convicted students may be expelled from the institution and debarred from appearing in any examination for up to 3 years.
- Institutional penalties include fine, suspension, rustication, and cancellation of admission.
- Faculties and hostel staff who fail to report ragging may also face disciplinary action.
Lincoln College of Law strictly follows the UGC Regulations and the Punjab Prohibition of Ragging Act. Every student and parent is required to submit an online anti‑ragging affidavit at the time of admission.

Any act that causes humiliation, teasing, physical abuse, mental torture, or forces a student to perform any act under pressure is considered ragging. Even casual "fun" that makes a fresher uncomfortable is prohibited.
Absolutely. The identity of the complainant is never disclosed to the accused or the public. We also accept anonymous complaints.

Yes. During orientation week, we conduct dedicated sessions on anti‑ragging laws, penalties, and positive senior‑junior interaction. Freshers are also given a handbook with contact numbers.
The committee acknowledges receipt within 24 hours, initiates an inquiry, and completes it within 7–10 days. If the complaint is true, strict disciplinary action (including expulsion and legal proceedings) is taken against the offender.
