Key Functions of ICC
Complaint Redressal
Receive and investigate complaints of sexual harassment with utmost confidentiality. Ensure time-bound resolution as per POSH Act timelines.
Awareness Programs
Conduct regular workshops, seminars, and training sessions for students and staff on POSH, gender sensitivity, and prevention of harassment.
Annual Report & Compliance
Prepare annual reports on complaints received and actions taken. Ensure institutional compliance with UGC and government mandates.
Counseling Support
Provide emotional and psychological support to complainants through trained counselors and partner NGOs.
Preventive Measures
Implement anti-harassment policies, display ICC information prominently, and ensure safe reporting mechanisms.
Gender Sensitization
Organize gender-equality campaigns and integrate POSH awareness into the academic curriculum.
How to File a Complaint
1. Write a Complaint
Submit a written complaint (anonymous allowed if genuine fear) detailing the incident(s) with supporting evidence.
2. Submit to ICC
Drop the complaint in the designated ICC box at the administrative block or email to icc@lincolncolleges.in.
3. Within 7 Days
ICC acknowledges receipt and initiates preliminary inquiry. Conciliation is attempted (if complainant agrees).
4. Inquiry & Report
Formal inquiry completed within 90 days. Recommendations submitted to the competent authority.

Yes. The ICC is bound by strict confidentiality under the POSH Act. Identity of the complainant and respondent is protected throughout the process.
Yes, if the complainant fears retaliation. However, anonymous complaints make inquiry challenging; it is advisable to provide contact details for effective redressal.
Inquiry must be completed within 90 days from receipt of complaint. The final report is submitted to the competent authority within 10 days thereafter.
Any student, faculty, staff, or any other person on campus (including contract workers) can file a complaint. Complaints against any member of the campus community are covered.
You may appeal to the appellate authority (the Vice-Chancellor / Director) within 90 days of receiving the committee's recommendations.
